BNP to ensure equal law for all: PM Caption
The BNP will use its full strength to ensure that the law applies equally to everyone, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said on Thursday (October 1), pledging to restore the rule of law and protect people’s rights.

Speaking at a project inauguration in Parshuram, Feni, he said the people had entrusted the BNP with governing the country on February 12, 2026, and his government wanted to reverse years of undermining the rule of law.

Tarique Rahman also alleged that some political groups were trying to create disorder, warning that disruptions could harm the public and hamper government programmes, including Family Cards, Farmer Cards and canal excavation.

Without naming any party, he criticised alleged violence against women and said an investigation into a related matter was underway.

Earlier, the Prime Minister inaugurated the rehabilitation project of the Muhuri-Kahua flood control, drainage and irrigation scheme in Feni, involving Tk 1,542.16 crore.
